Here’s my little girl Cinnamon doing mixed martial arts. Give her a break.. she’s only a white belt with a little bit of stand up training from me. Quote: “She has to train, at least in submissions,” Pulver said. “Because think about the rape position. What position is that? Oh, you’re in my guard. Think about the sport of jiu-jitsu. It’s supposed to be a weaker, smaller person fending off a bigger, stronger person, so, absolutely, my daughter has to train.” -Jens Pulver

UFC 7 Sept. 1995 Alternate Match Highlights taped from an old pay-per view video….During those early UFC days, there were no wieght classes and no gloves. It wasn’t as organized as it currently is in the modern day. Head Butts and all that nonsense allowed made for bloody messes. The format was for a Bracketed Tournament. Meaning you litterally had to fight 3 fights in one night to win. This was an alternate match, which meant that if someone was injured fighting in the main draw…then an alternate could take his place for the prize. I was the smallest man in the tourney and of course an unknown. Still i’m thankful they let me in as an alternate. I have respect for anyone who sets foot in the ring. I learned allot from these experiences and just as MMA and Martial Arts has been constantly evolving and improving…I feel that I have also personally improved allot since those days. My purpose for putting it up after so long was mostly for posterity I guess. That and the old VHS video was begining to get White Fuzzy Spots on the film itself. I figured I better save it before total degredation. My training was a serious concentration of both my fathers’ Pinoy Arts and also traditional Hung Gar Kuen. I’ve never shown this anyone before because frankly I don’t know if anyone likes seeing themselves or what they LOOKED like more than 16yrs into the past. I can’t stand looking at it because I believe that I’ve matured into a much better fighter now and so has my understanding …
