Fabricio Werdum will make his return to the UFC this weekend at UFC 143 and takes on Roy Nelson in a heavyweight match up in Las Vegas.

Werdum discussed the bout this week in an interview with Globo and discussed the keys to victory in the fight:

"I can tell you that he'll need to keep his hands up, because a knockout might happen. He'll need to keep his hands way up, in high guard. I think I'll hit his legs a lot. Roy Nelson is very tough and can endure a lot of beating, he showed that against [Junior dos Santos], but there's always a weak spot. I'll try to look for that flaw during the fight. I think I will win with agility and mobility. I am well mentally, as well as physically, much faster and this will be determinant in this fight, due to the fact that he's slower, a fatty. It will be a very strategic fight. It's my return to the UFC, it will be very important to me. When I have the opportunity to KO or submit, I will do it. I don't like to win by points, it happens sometimes, but my prevision is this: knockout or submission. The main thing is the victory."

The days following Alistair Overeem's successful UFC debut were not all rosy as news broke this week that the number one heavyweight contender was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery related to an inside that took place in Las Vegas New Year's Eve weekend.

Overeem was not arrested but instead issued a citation and has been ordered to court where he could face up to 6 months in jail and fines. He is accused of shoving a woman which caused her to stumble backwards.

Overeem's lawyer David Chesnoff issued the following statement:

"I have advised Alistair not to comment on this matter, and that we will do our talking in the court. It should be noted that Alistair was not arrested; he was summoned to court. There are two sides to this story, and we intend on vigorously defending this as Alistair maintains his innocence."

It's likely only a matter of time before a light heavyweight match up is made between former light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin as the two continue to discuss the possibility of matching up this summer.

Ortiz, who has gone on record to state that he will be retiring this July has shown interest in match ups against Chuck Liddell(already retired) and Forrest Griffin with the preference shifting towards Griffin over the last few weeks.

Ortiz was a guest on HDNet's Inside MMA and also discussed the fight:

"Forrest, you know I deserve it, man. Step up. Let's do this. It's an awesome fight for you. I lost my last one. You lost your last one. Let's do this — unless your scared!"

Griffin has also shown interest in the bout with Ortiz and explained why:

"He knows better than that. You know what's funny about me and Tito? The truth is we each consider the other an easy fight. For me, that's the perfect 'get right' fight. Coming back from a bad loss and beating Tito Ortiz up? No problem. For Tito, he's thinking, 'Forrest ain't that good. He's getting old, prematurely. This is a great way to go out, with a win over Forrest!' So, I think it's a beautiful match up because we both think of the other as an easy fight."

"Wanna know how fights get done now? If enough people get on Twitter, it'll happen. If enough people get on Twitter and tell 'em that's what they want, that's what's gonna happen. It has to be done."
